Tadelakt allows for seamlessly tying together sinks, counters, and backsplashes with a single finish. The impervious plaster can be applied as a veneer system over a variety of substratesto create limitless forms. While easy to maintain, tadelakt is less resistant to scratching and acidic solutions than conventional alternatives, and is therefore better suited to bath environments than in kitchens. What it lacks in hardness, however, is made up for by the sensually smooth finish.
